The Binaytara Foundation is excited to welcome a visionary and results-driven professional to join its passionate and highly motivated team as the Director of Institutional Giving. Reporting to and working closely with Chief Development Officer Justin Marquart, the Director of Institutional Giving will be instrumental in shaping Binaytara's future by cultivating and expanding relationships with key organization partners. This role is not just about securing funds - it's about forging meaningful partnerships that directly contribute to Binaytara's ambitious goal of reducing cancer disparities worldwide. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned fundraiser with grants and foundation relations expertise to take on a leadership role in a rapidly growing organization that is making a significant impact in global oncology care. 

Key Responsibilities

Corporation and Foundation Relationship Management
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward corporate and foundation donors.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with corporate and foundation representatives and program officers.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to secure foundation support.
Grants Strategy and Oversight
  • Prepare strategic leadership for the organization's grant-seeking efforts, supervising an internal staff member and external consultant to ensure alignment with institutional priorities and funding opportunities.
  • Oversee the full grant lifecycle - including prospect research, proposal development, timely submission, and reporting - ensuring all materials meet high standards of quality, accuracy, and compliance. 
  • Monitor and evaluate funded projects, ensuring deliverables are met, outcomes are tracked, and relationships with funders are strengthened through clear, consistent communication and reporting.
Strategic Planning
  • Collaborate with the Chief Development Officer and other senior staff to align foundation fundraising strategies with the organization's goals and priorities.
  • Identify new funding opportunities and develop innovative approaches to expand foundation support.
Collaboration and Communication
  • Work closely with program staff to understand funding needs and develop proposals that align with program goals.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and communication across the organization to ensure a coordinated approach to foundation fundraising.
  • Provide regular updates to the Chief Development Officer and President on foundation fundraising activities and progress.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members in their efforts to secure foundation funding and manage donor relationships. 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in required; advance degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in donor relationship management, including grant funding partners, corporations, and government relations.
  • Proven track record of securing significant foundation grants and managing relationships with foundation donors.
  • Experience in medical, research, oncology or global healthcare field required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and deliver persuasive presentations.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of initiative and attention to detail.

This position is based at Binaytara's office in Bellevue, Washington. This is a national search and relocation compensation will be provided where necessary. Compensation for this role is $150,000 plus.
