The Opportunity We are seeking experienced Grant Strategists to join our growing team. This is a contract-based (1099) role, paid per project at a set rate, and offers the opportunity to work with a variety of mission-driven organizations while applying your expertise in grants strategy and institutional fundraising.
Roles and Responsibilities As a Grant Strategist, you will serve as the lead strategist on assigned client engagements. Working alongside a dedicated team (Grant Researcher, Grant Writer, Project Manager), your role will include:
Initial Assessment (first 60 days): Evaluate each client’s grant readiness and recommend practical steps.
Strategic Counsel: Provide ongoing guidance to strengthen clients’ grant development programs.
Grant Calendar Development: Translate research findings into a structured grant calendar.
Expert Guidance: Support relationship management with funders and provide counsel on approaches, follow-up, site visits, presentations, and reporting.
What We’re Looking For We are recruiting Strategists with robust knowledge of the grant funding landscape in:
Regions: Metropolitan Atlanta and Greater Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW)
Sectors: Health & Human Services, Global Aid & Outreach, and Higher Education
Ideal Candidates Will Bring
Significant experience in institutional fundraising and grant strategy.
Strong understanding of foundation and corporate giving trends.
The ability to think strategically and advise at the executive level.
A collaborative, team-oriented approach.
